Bringing together a lifetime of musical journeys around Europe, Australia, and into the heart of America and incorporating elements of country rock, folk and blues, this deeply personal, evocative collection of songs reflects the brothers’ ability to craft vivid lyrical landscapes and haunting melodies.

Drawing inspiration from real life experience and exploring themes of resilience, loss, and redemption Tall Tales features Mattie Foulds on drums, Ben Nicholls bass, Nick Lacey keyboards, Chris Hillman pedal steel, Archie Churchill Moss accordion, James Knight saxophone, and Danica Chapman and Lizzie Deane on vocals.

Produced in collaboration with Jack Henderson and Matt Hay, the album showcases twelve new tracks. From the reflective “Dead Man’s Shoes" to the foot-stomping "Goin’ Down to Baton Rouge", the ‘hymn’ to Memphis Minnie "Six Strings and the Blues" to the tender ballad "Farewell Song", each captures a moment in time with emotional depth and musical clarity.

"For those who wander… the restless, hungry inheritors of Kerouac’s dream. When you get to the end of the road, where do you go? From Woody Guthrie’s Bound for Glory to Kerouac's On the Road and Dharma Bums. "Sal, we gotta go and never stop going 'till we get there. 'Where we going, man?’ 'I don't know but we gotta go"….”  Simon and Steve Nelson.
